Infusion & Syringe Pump Replacement Batteries

BATTERY MATCHING NOTES

How to identify an infusion pump battery

Infusion pump and syringe pump families can contain several hardware generations under closely related names. The most reliable starting point is the service part number on the original battery, checked against the complete pump model and revision.

Compare electrical and mechanical details before ordering. A pack that fits the compartment can still have the wrong chemistry, thermistor, connector wiring, protection circuit, or communication interface. Installation and functional testing should follow the pump manufacturer’s service documentation.

Details to verify

  • Complete pump model, channel or module type, and hardware revision
  • Original battery part number, revision, and label photograph
  • Voltage, chemistry, capacity, watt-hours, connector pinout, and polarity
  • Pack dimensions, cable routing, mounting points, and required post-installation test

Common questions

Can one battery fit several pump models?

Sometimes, but compatibility must be supported by the complete part-number and device-model evidence. A similar enclosure is not sufficient.

Why should the original label be photographed?

The label preserves the exact part number, revision, chemistry, and electrical ratings that may be shortened or omitted from the equipment name.

Is a capacity difference acceptable?

Only when the equipment manufacturer or qualified service procedure supports that specific replacement. Capacity alone does not establish charging or electronic compatibility.

Equipment-maker names and part numbers identify reported applications only and do not imply affiliation or endorsement.
